Re: favorite songs
Tue, June 8, 2004 - 6:35 PMThe entire Empty Glass album plays like a greatest hits to me. I think that would've made a great Who album for the most part.
Heart to hang on to - solo and with Eddie Vedder
Sheraton Gibson also up there
Did anybody hear his song he made for a never released compliation for Peter Gabriel called "Ascendance". He put it out on his website two years ago for download. It is unreal. -

Re: favorite songs
Wed, June 9, 2004 - 8:46 AMWhoa. I thought I'd done a good job of tracking obscure Pete songs, but that's heavy. The Gabriel-conceived collection World of Music and Rhythm includes a track from Pete called "Ascension Two" which is nothing less than awe-inspiring. It's available on CD as part of the truncated "commercial" version Best of Music and Rhythm alongside tracks by XTC and David Byrne and the English Beat among others. Could this be a predecessor or early demo version?
Must hear must hear! Off to search Pete's website to see if it's still there...
